Mel’s a good egg!
The Good Egg Partnership distributes Easter eggs to good causes throughout the north east. The last 35 Easter eggs of more than 1,700 handed out were allocated to Healthwatch Newcastle last week.
They’ve been donated to the St Vincent de Paul Society in Newcastle via our Outreach and Engagement Officer Mel.
The St Vincent de Paul Society run's the newly refurbished Vinnie's café, a weekly drop-in free lunch service where local homeless population are fed on a pay-as-you-please basis.
“The centre does great work with their customers and it's really nice to offer these eggs to them – especially as they work with a lot of young refugees and migrants,” said Mel.
