Healthwatch Newcastle supports White Ribbon UK

Today is White Ribbon Day, when men and boys are called upon to change cultures and end violence against women and girls.

White Ribbon UK is the leading charity engaging men and boys to end violence against women and girls, working with over 400 organisations to positively change harmful cultures, attitudes and behaviours.

The theme of 2024's White Ribbon Day, which took place on the 25th of November, was 'It Starts with Men'. In the words of White Ribbon UK: "Violence against women and girls is rooted in harmful masculine traits. Starting with men, we must address the attitudes and behaviours that contribute to a fear of violence for women in their day-to-day lives."

Tell Us North, the host organisation for Healthwatch Newcastle and Healthwatch Gateshead, is a White Ribbon Supporter Organisation. As part of this support, we are lending our voice to raise awareness of White Ribbon Day and fundraising to support the work of White Ribbon UK.
